Empowering Virginia Angels

Angels of America’s Fallen is grateful to see our mission highlighted by The Hampton Roads Show with WAVY Midday News through a special feature on Amanda-Lee Pitzer, President of our Hampton Roads Angel Chapter.

The segment shared the heart behind our mission: ensuring that children of fallen military, law enforcement, fire, and EMS heroes continue to have opportunities to pursue extracurricular activities, discover healing through community, and keep dreaming beyond their loss.

For many children, the loss of a parent brings emotional challenges, financial strain, and uncertainty about the future. Activities like sports, music, and arts that once brought joy, confidence, and connection can suddenly feel out of reach. At Angels of America’s Fallen, we believe every child deserves continued access to the passions and opportunities that help them grow, heal, and thrive.

Through our long-term support model, we walk alongside these children and families by helping provide access to extracurricular activities, mentorship, community events, and meaningful connection.

A woman and a boy stand together on a golf course green, both smiling at the camera. The boy holds a golf club and wears a cap, polo shirt, shorts, and sneakers. Trees are in the background.

Amanda-Lee’s interview on WAVY highlighted not only the impact of this mission, but also the incredible support being built within the Hampton Roads community through local awareness and engagement.

As President of the Hampton Roads Angel Chapter, Amanda-Lee has been instrumental in helping expand awareness of Angels of America’s Fallen throughout the region. Her passion, leadership, and commitment to serving our Angels continue to create meaningful opportunities for families and supporters to connect with the mission in a personal way.

We are incredibly thankful for the way Amanda-Lee continues to represent our organization and advocate for the children we serve.

The feature also highlighted several upcoming opportunities for the community to get involved and support our Angels:
