Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Joe is a husband, a father, and a retired Lieutenant Colonel with 25 years of service across the three separate branches of the military. After retiring from the Air Force, Joe founded Angels of America’s Fallen (AOAF) in 2013 to help ensure  the children of America’s fallen military, police, fire, and EMS personnel have the support they need during their crucial childhood developmental years to write their own stories of success.

Shelli Lewis

Shelli Lewis

Co-Founder & Director of Programs

Shelli is a wife, a mother of two sons, and the co-founder of Angels of America’s Fallen. Shelli is the central point of contact for all current and incoming families for AOAF. She manages AOAF’s network of activity providers across the country to ensure that each child can continue pursuing his or her dream.

Shelli’s passion is connecting with the stories of families of our fallen and helping each AOAF-supported child find an activity that they love.

Nancy Snyder

Nancy Snyder

Program Specialist

Nancy grew up on Long Island in New York. After graduating from the Air Force Academy in the first class that admitted women, she spent another 22 years in uniform. She was on Missile Combat Crew in Wichita, Kansas when she met Gary and they married and embarked on the rest of her Air Force career as a team. During her career she was on Titan II Missile Crew, an Emergency War Order Instructor and a Program Support Manager at the Western Test Range

Brandy Sorenson

Family Case Manager & Community Outreach Coordinator

Brandy comes to organization after a fulfilling career in professional rodeo and online English instructor to school-age children across the globe. She has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University. Brandy has a heart for her community and cultivates her passions through volunteerism: international day coordinator at Global Village Academy, reading tutor through the Pikes Peak Library District, and youth leader and outdoor camp counselor.

Rick Zink

Chairman of the Board

Rick enlisted in the United States Air Force after high school graduation in Cincinnati, Ohio, and continued active service until retiring as a Colonel 31 years later. Serving initially as altitude chamber physiological training instructor, Rick completed his bachelor degree and was selected for commissioning through Officer Training School.After a short assignment as a disaster preparedness officer.

Jeff Anderson

Jeff Anderson

Jeff was born into an Air Force family and then made a career in the USAF as an Intelligence Plans and Programs officer specializing in managing teams and developing systems to provide timely support from national overhead systems direct to operators in support of tactical military operations. This common thread took Jeff to assignments at multiple Service and Joint command headquarters in the US and overseas.

John Farnam

John Farnam

John served 26 years in the United States Marine Corps as a Weapons and Sensors Officer flying the FA-18D. During his career, he flew almost 4000 hours which include combat tours in Bosnia, Kosovo and Iraq. John served as an FA-18 Weapons School Instructor, as an FA-18D Squadron Commanding Officer and as the Commanding Officer of Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.

Margo Hatton

Margo Hatton

Margo is the Director, Resource Development Club Consulting for Boys and Girls Clubs of America Atlanta Georgia. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive, CFRE, and has extensive experience in strategic planning. She is a Member of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, Colorado Planned Giving Roundtable, Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), St. Mary’s Project Lead the Way Advisory Board.

Rob O'Regan

Rob O’Regan

Rob O’Regan is a second generation Colorado native from Monument, CO. His professional background includes working in the business and political arenas, as he has worked on over 70+ political and issue campaigns across Colorado. He is the owner of War Nerve, LLC. and has worked with multiple Fortune 500 companies, and served his state in the administrations of Colorado Governor Bill Owens

Trista Chrachol

Trista Chrachol

Trista is an Executive Vice President with FirstBank, the largest privately-held bank in the state of Colorado. With over 14 years of experience in the financial industry, Trista brings a wide range of knowledge in banking operations, technology, and project management. She received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado and a graduate degree in Banking from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Brad Dombaugh

Brad Dombaugh

Brad Dombaugh has served as the co-owner and Chief Executive Officer of PSA Worldwide Corp, Inc. since 1995. Prior to co-owning PSA, Brad served as a Corporate Accounts Director with St. Jude Medical, and also worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a sales manager and sales representative with both Pfizer and Roche Pharmaceuticals. Before entering corporate America, Brad also served as a commissioned officer in the United States Army for seven years.

Bryan Wogen

Bryan Wogen

Bryan has served in the US Army for over 15 years. Prior to commissioning as a Battalion Physician Assistant, Bryan was a Drill Sergeant that trained soldiers out of Fort Benning, GA. He currently serves as the Battalion PA for a Reserve Combat Engineer Battalion in Denver. Most recently, he was a lead PA for the Central American counter-narcotic operation based out of Honduras. Since transitioning to the reserves and moving in to civilian medicine.

Craig Temmer

Colonel (Ret., US Army) Craig Temmer has over 38 years military experience including enlisted service in the United States Marine Corps Reserves from 1981 to 1984, and as an officer in the US Army from 1984 to January of 2019. His last assignment he served as a T10 Deputy Commander, 2018 California Wildfires for United States Northern Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. He is also active on two additional not-for-profit organizations

Dan Lloyd

Dan Lloyd

Retired Coast Guard Rear Admiral. His last tour of duty in 2011, was as the Director of Joint Interagency Task Force South. Lloyd assumed the duties of Military Advisor to the Secretary, United States Department of Homeland Security, in June 2006. In this role, he was responsible for advising the Secretary on matters involving coordination between the Department of Homeland Security and all branches of the military.

Dennis Rego

Dennis Rego

For the last nine years Dennis has been employed as a defense contractor at Peterson Air Force Base. Prior to that, Dennis started Lightspeed Cabling Solutions, a local small business that specialized in network and telephone cabling for both commercial and residential applications. In his spare time you can find Dennis fulfilling his true passion on the lacrosse field at Pine Creek High School.

Jennifer is a Certified Financial Planner™, Certified Wealth Strategist® and Accredited Investment Fiduciary®. She has a Master of Accountancy from the University of Missouri. Jennifer is currently an Investment Adviser Representative and a Registered Representative of Cetera Advisors LLC. She has over 26 years of experience in the investment and planning fields and opened her own business 22 years ago

Johnny Walker

Johnny Walker

Johnny was raised on a large working cattle ranch west of Pueblo, Colorado. It was these experiences that would ingrain in him and give him the profound knowledge of the sacrifices made by military personnel and their families to defend our Country. After graduating from the University of Southern Colorado with a BSBA in Finance and Economics, Johnny worked in east and southern Africa as a professional hunter.

June grew up the daughter of an Air Force service member and lived in North Dakota before moving to Colorado Springs in the mid-1990s. Having grown up in a military family and now majority-owner of a U.S. veteran and woman owned business, she has taken immense pride in volunteering for Angels through various events such as the annual Angel Gala and Golf Tournament, event sponsorships through her company.

Kristen Christy

Kristen Christy

Kristen Christy is the Marketing Manager with Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI). She has been a military spouse for more than 23 years and an Air Force family member her entire life. With the exception of a year at Carlisle Barracks for Army War College from 2005 – 2006, Kristen has lived Colorado Springs since 1995. Honored as the 2018 Air Force Spouse of the Year and a Woman of Influence. 

Mark Seglem

Mark is an accomplished executive whose outstanding management and leadership skills produced superior results in an array of organizations at both the field and corporate headquarters levels in private industry, the federal government and the military. He possesses an uncommon ability to motivate individuals while building strong teams, earning the respect and commitment of his direct reports and the appreciation of both his colleagues and senior leadership.

Lt. Col. Matt Bershinsky

Lt. Col. Matt Bershinsky

Lt. Col. Matt Bershinsky is the Deputy Commander of the 624th Regional Support Group, headquartered at Joint Base Pearl Harbor–Hickam, Hawaii. The 624th RSG is the largest Air Force Reserve presence in the Pacific, providing nearly 700 combat-ready Airmen who specialize in throughput of passengers, cargo, patients and runway repair in the Pacific and worldwide. Lt. Col. Bershinsky entered the U.S. Army in 1989 as a combat medic. 

Officer Henry Jones

Officer Henry Jones

Officer Henry Jones is a dedicated and committed public servant who has served the Denver community as well as the military and veteran community for over 28 years. Officer Jones is currently assigned as the Community Resource Officer for the Denver International Airport. He was responsible for all security for the 2017 Medal of Honor Society Convention in Denver. (MOH) Recipients to engagements and appointments.
