Kristen Christy

Kristen Christy is the Marketing Manager with Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI). She has been a military spouse for more than 23 years and an Air Force family member her entire life. With the exception of a year at Carlisle Barracks for Army War College from 2005 – 2006, Kristen has lived Colorado Springs since 1995.

Honored as the 2018 Air Force Spouse of the Year and a Woman of Influence, Kristen is embedded in all aspects of our military community and considered a Community Trustee. She is the first woman and military spouse to Chair the Military Affairs Council of the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce, interacting with senior military leaders as well as city and county elected officials; is a key spouse for the 53rd Network Operations Squadron at Peterson AFB; and an Advisory Board member for Angels of America’s Fallen. She is speaking across the country about her family’s story of resiliency after the suicide of her first husband in order to bring hope to others. Her initiative March 4th & Conquer – National Survivors’ Day – Perseverance in the Face of Adversity, has taken her to the White House and in contact with Mrs. Karen Pence on a regular basis.

She is a certified Resilience Training Assistant and John Maxwell Speaker, Trainer, and Coach. Kristen is a proud Texas Longhorn, graduating with a BS in Organizational Communications and has her MBA in Marketing through Colorado Technical University. She is married to Technical Sergeant Sean Lange, a USAFR Traditional Reservist with the 53rd NOS at Peterson AFB, CO; and has two sons, Ryan and Ben.
