Nancy Snyder

Program Specialist

Nancy grew up on Long Island in New York. After graduating from the Air Force Academy in the first class that admitted women, she spent another 22 years in uniform. She was on Missile Combat Crew in Wichita, Kansas when she met Gary and they married and embarked on the rest of her Air Force career as a team. During her career she was on Titan II Missile Crew, an Emergency War Order Instructor and a Program Support Manager at the Western Test Range; she earned a Master of Science degree in Strategic & Tactical Sciences (Operations Research) at the AF Institute of Technology and was a Strategic Forces Analyst at the Pentagon and at AF Space Command; she was the Numbered Air Force Executive Officer and a Squadron Operations Officer at FE Warren AFB in Wyoming, and the Squadron Commander of the Space and Missile schoolhouse at Vandenberg AFB.

She completed her AF career as Director of Protocol at the AF Academy where she retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. Since her Air Force retirement, Nancy has served non-profit organizations in the community.

She was the Development Assistant at Care and Share Food Bank, the Volunteer Manager’s assistant at Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity and produced an Emergency Services directory for the Red Cross of Southeastern Colorado.

Nancy and Gary live in Colorado Springs. They feel honored to be engaged in all aspects of Angels of America’s Fallen and to serve the children of our fallen heroes.
