At Angels of America’s Fallen, every opportunity to share the stories of our Angels is an opportunity to honor the legacies of fallen military members and first responders while raising awareness for the sons and daughters they leave behind.

We are grateful to Mile High Magazine for recently featuring our CEO, Joe Lewis, in an interview highlighting the mission, impact, and vision of Angels of America’s Fallen.

For more than a decade, Angels of America’s Fallen has been committed to supporting children who have lost a parent in military service or the line of duty. Through healthy, developmental activities, mentorship, and long-term support, we help our Angels discover their strengths, pursue their passions, and build resilience as they navigate life after loss.

During the interview, Joe shared the heart behind our mission and the importance of providing consistent support for children whose lives have been forever changed by the sacrifice of their hero. While the loss of a parent can create challenges that last far beyond the initial tragedy, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive.

The conversation also highlighted the unique approach that sets Angels of America’s Fallen apart. Rather than offering short-term assistance, our organization walks alongside each Angel for years, funding activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development. Whether an Angel finds confidence through sports, discovers creativity through the arts, or develops leadership skills through new experiences, these opportunities help create a foundation for lifelong success.

Awareness plays a critical role in making this mission possible. Many people are familiar with the sacrifices made by military personnel and first responders, but fewer understand the lasting impact those sacrifices have on the children left behind. Media partners like Mile High Magazine help shine a light on these stories, ensuring that more individuals, families, businesses, and communities understand how they can support the next generation of Angels.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Mile High Magazine team for providing a platform to share our story and for helping raise awareness about the needs of children of fallen military members and first responders. Partnerships like these help ensure that the legacies of our heroes live on through the lives and accomplishments of their children.
