Johnny Walker

Johnny was raised on a large working cattle ranch west of Pueblo, Colorado. It was these experiences that would ingrain in him and give him the profound knowledge of the sacrifices made by military personnel and their families to defend our Country.

Education & Career

After graduating from the University of Southern Colorado with a BSBA in Finance and Economics, Johnny worked in east and southern Africa as a professional hunter. Upon returning to the States he delved into the family business which consisted of 5 large cattle ranches in 2 states. While managing the Red Creek Ranch, Johnny earned his real estate brokers license and began assisting the family in its newfound strategy of reducing leveraged debt via the spin off less profitable properties to meet the changing economies of agriculture.

For the next 20 years Johnny, would be involved in Real Estate, development and banking in the El Paso County region while keeping close ties with his ranching family in Pueblo. In 2011 the president of the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo foundation recruited Johnny to be the general manager of the Norris-Penrose Event Center. The Foundation, the facility and all the events owned by the Foundation are tasked with raising funds to support local military.

Volunteer Work

Johnny has served with Pikes Peak Range Riders as Board of Directors – Treasurer, JLA Foundation as Board of Directors – Treasurer, Special Rodeo as Executive Director, Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo on the Board of Directors, and Ride for the Brand Ranch Rodeo on the Board of Directors.

Personal Life

He resides in Colorado Springs with his wife.
