Melodie Owens

Development Officer

Melodie Owens is a dedicated advocate for Veterans, First Responders, and their Families, with a passion for fundraising and event planning. In her role as Development Officer at Angels for America’s Fallen, she leads the planning and execution of fundraising events, golf tournaments, and sponsorships to enhance the well-being of Angel Families.

With over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry in Colorado Springs, Breckenridge, and Vail, Melodie has held various roles including Regional Director of Catering, Director of Sales, and Convention Management. She is known for her creativity, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service, having organized events ranging from corporate meetings to celebrity charity galas and weddings.

Melodie also serves on the advisory board of the Veteran’s Victory Alliance, which provides rustic retreats at the Moon Eagle River Ranch in Sula, Montana. This facility offers programs focused on personal and team wellness for Veterans and First Responders.

Melodie values her upbringing as a military dependent, cherishes her childhood and honors her father’s service in the US Army by dedicating her time, talents, and energy to Military and Veterans organizations. She actively raises awareness and supports causes affecting the veteran and first responder community, including health care, education, food insecurity, mental health, and housing.

She is actively working on a degree in project management for Colorado Technical University. In her free time, Melodie enjoys spending time with her family, antique shopping, cooking and volunteering in her community.
