“Murph” Fundraiser for AOAF

Every year, gyms across the country take Memorial Day to celebrate a particular fallen soldier; Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005 and memorialize all who have sacrificed all.

This year, Angels of America’s Fallen is proud to be supported by a group from the United States Air Force Academy Airfield who are taking it to another level. They are doing the memorial workout on May 29, 2017 with the intent to raise money for Angels of America’s Fallen. Angels of America’s Fallen is completely dedicated to honoring the legacy of our fallen military and first responders by helping their children grow and develop into strong and successful adults.

The workout is listed below, but the intent is to raise money with each rep we complete. Not including the mile run on each end, there are 600 total reps, so a $6 would be a penny a rep, an nickle would be $30, a $60 donation would be a dime a rep, and so on.

The Workout: “Murph” (w/ 20# vest optional)

For time:

  • 1 mile Run
  • 100 Pull-ups
  • 200 Push-ups
  • 300 Squats
  • 1 mile Run
